Lei is dishware concept with the purpose of restyling the dishware for Alitalia first class. The concept is about the elegance, the simplicity and the beauty of the porcelain; at the same time, expresses the luxury of a minimal design, but in accordance with the ergonomy of the object.
The result is a set of dishes that expresses fully the concept of gentleness and refinement for travelers. Beauty and comfort in your hands. As you can see below, there are different sources of inspiration for this concept.
Lei takes inspiration from classic, natural and aesthetics elements. But at the same time, its ergonomic shape allow waitress a better experience in serving meals in a very narrow place, like an airplane aisle. The soft and wide edges of the plate allow the waiter to better held them easily in their hand.
In conclusion, the set is composed of simple elements: 3 differents size of plates, 1 coffee cup set, 1 cappuccino cup set, salt and pepper holder, butter dish and a little bowl. Every piece takes care of dimensions given by airplane’s restrictions.
